Businesses often wait until the installation of a new IT system or organisaional rectructure before reassessing their internal business processes. It is certainly true that these are times when businesses need to reassess how they operate and whether each activity they undertake adds value to their customers. But in order to keep their competitive advantage and market share, businessess shouldn't just wait until they're going through a major change before analysing how they work.
