1. My question to you today based on this is - how do you plan to reach your goals?
Our company received two days of training last week, Goal setting was among the topics. Without boring you and others, make Goals – Targets reasonably achievable, but sufficient to stretch.
In my case, increase phone calls from 10 to 15 per hour, increase the numbers of compliment slips per Account Manager from 15 to 25 per person and collect them. Achieve 2 Foot Canvas days per month irrespective of holiday, sickness or workload.
Attend 2 network meetings, per month instead of 1. Twenty Social Media contacts per month, with a view to securing 2 meetings.
Increase meetings from 15 per month to 25.
2. What relationship, stories and magic do you sell to your customers?
As for Customers, generally I deal with Prospects, occasionally a Customer to arrange an Account Review meeting.
Our remit is to eliminate waste, paper & toner, and electricity to check if we can reduce costs, save them money and in many cases increase efficiency. We are talking photocopiers and printers, not the most exciting of subjects but businesses waste millions every year through laziness, ignorance, intransigence and sheer bloody mindedness!
A year ago we saved a law firm, over £20K per annum by taking away the convenient and seemingly private desktop printers and installing centralised multifunction devices. At the quarterly review the only complaint we had was dealing with moans, personnel had to get out of their seats to collect prints & copies.
Not only was the cost of toner and ink cartridges cut by over £6K, paper by £4K, downtime and the associated cost of time lost, the big saving was over £4K in fee earners time.
That’s just one Customer, but this is repeated to a greater or lesser degree many times over the course of a year.
3. Our attitude towards life determines life's attitude towards us
It’s another fresh week, with unexpected events, twists and turns. The trick is to stay on track if we can
