Don't Assume they know

It can be really easy in any kind of relationship, both personal and professional, to think that the other person understands us so well that they should know what we are thinking.

You could then assume from that that there is no reason to express your thoughts and needs as they should know how to act accordingly.

When the other person ends up not doing what we want we feel hurt and think, 'how can you do that?', or 'you should know'.

When you give up the assumption and express your needs in an assertive and loving way you will feel less frustration and consequently have more of your needs met.
