If you are here in the UK you are currently experiencing a second lockdown. For some, it is business as usual. For others it signifies more time on their own, and amplifies the feeling of loneliness.
My mum lives on her own. During the first lockdown I did her shopping for her. After putting her shopping on her front step, I would retreat onto the pavement and chat to her for a while at a distance. Now we are in lockdown again she is back on her own. It is difficult to weigh up keeping someone safe and not giving them a hug, and balancing their mental health.
At times, the feeling of loneliness can feel too much. So I created this short video which looks at loneliness through the aspects of mind, body and spirit.
