Do you feel stressed and fatigued?
Are you interested in learning simple, yet powerful techniques to help you gain energy and live a more balanced, joyful life?
If so, you will be interested in Stress Detox.
Stress always starts with a thought. With continued negative, anxious or fearful thoughts the brain is activated into chemical production. These chemicals flood the body... Stress is the resulting experience.
There are different ways stress can come into your life. It can because inside you don't believe you are good enough. Maybe you learnt things about yourself during your childhood which makes you think there are limits to the things you can do or the things you can achieve. Maybe you feel trapped in a unfulfilling job, where you feel you have little opportunity for creative expression.
It could even be because you want the world to be according to your idea of what it should be, because that way you feel safe. Then when something happens to rock your world, like your partner leaves you, or you are made redundant from your job, you feel out of control.
Your stress response is there to save you from danger. It protects you by preferentially diverting blood flow to your arms and legs so that you can run away fro danger, or fight your attacker. This is great when you need it.
The problem comes when this response is triggered too often
Over 5 weeks this programme will teach YOU techniques for mind and body that will enable you to dramatically reduce the feelings of stress and increase balance and peacefulness. The techniques include proven relaxation methods, learning to use your mind creatively to think positive thoughts rather than stressful ones, time management, effective communication skills, using humour to lighten up, and finding a sense of purpose in life.
The 90 minute classes will be via Zoom and will be recorded so that you can revisit them at a later date. They will run on a Wednesday evening GMT from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
